What We Do
-
1We speak for those who can't speak to make sure that they get a fair shot at the happiness they deserve.
-
2We make sure that all of our animals have been either spayed or neutered before they go to their forever homes.
-
3We match animals with people, so that the animal and the new owners have the loving relationship that both deserve.
Our Mission
To give adoptable, shelter animals the second chance that they deserve.
We spay/neuter, vaccinate, treat for fleas and all types of worms. microchip, train (depending on age at adoption), and socialize or rehabilitate these animals to prepare them for their forever homes. We require an adoption application prior to meeting the dogs and then an adoption contract upon adoption of a dog. We are not taking owner surrenders due to the high level of urgent dogs in high kill shelters. Adoption fees can range from $30-$300 depending on dog/cat and the medical care we have provided for each animal.Just Plain Good People who love animals:
WHAT TO DO IF YOU FIND A STRAY!
1. Post on facebook group "Indianapolis Lost Pet Alert". Try to include a photo.
2. Take it to a vet to get scanned for a microchip.
3. The stray animal must be reported to your local Animal Control within 48 hours. You may also take the animal there. Owner's will not always call every rescue group looking for their dog/cat but they will call the city's shelter, most times.
4. You may not rehome the pet, immediately. The stray hold for citizens and rescues is 30 days.
5. Whether you can foster the pet until you find an owner or you have to take it to the shelter, hang flyers in the found location, with contact info of where the pet is.
